Broncos: Stokes visits Denver
News
According to wire services, the Broncos had former-49ers wide receiver J.J.
Stokes in for a visit on Thursday. Stokes was released on Monday. "He is
a productive receiver and I'm sure there are a number of teams interested in
him," Mike Shanahan said. "I don't know how long it will take him
before he makes a decision, which direction he will go or what type of offers
will be out there for him."

Hmmm. Are the Broncos worried about Ed McCaffrey's health? Or was this a friendly
visit from a wide receiver boned up on the West Coast offense? Stokes is expected
to draw interest from several other teams, including the Jaguars.
