Steelers: Bettis may edge out Zereoue
News
The Steelers still have one more mini-camp left before training camp next month,
but the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has already projected running back Jerome Bettis
to be the main workhouse for the upcoming season. At this point, it is believed
that Bettis and Amos Zereoue will split most of the carries during the game,
but, if healthy, Bettis would be the "hammer in the fourth quarter."

As it was last season, the running back situation in Pittsburgh could once again
confuse and anger fantasy owners. A month ago, the Steelers seem prepared to
move to a more pass-oriented offense and hand Zereoue the fulltime job. Now,
however, there does not appear to be a clear statement of roles between the
"if healthy" Bettis and Zereoue. Hopefully this will be more clearly
defined in training camp.
